Museum of Military History

The Museum of Military History (Heeresgeschichtliches Museum) in Vienna, housed in the Arsenal complex, is one of Europe's largest and oldest historical museums. Operated by Austria's Ministry of Defence, it holds extensive military-historical collections presented through a large permanent exhibition and rotating temporary exhibitions. It examines the role of the military in society and the relationship between war, conflict and societies across historical eras.
