The Fine Art Society
The Fine Art Society is a commercial gallery in Edinburgh's New Town, founded in London in 1876; its original Bond Street facade was designed by architect Edward William Godwin in 1881. An Edinburgh branch opened in 1978 as Bourne Fine Art, and became the gallery's sole home after the London space closed in 2018. One of Britain's oldest fine art dealers, it deals in Scottish and British art, design and decorative arts from the 18th century to the post-war period, and advises collectors and institutions on sales and conservation.
