Galicia Jewish Museum

The Galicia Jewish Museum is a museum and cultural centre in Kazimierz, Krakow's historic Jewish district, founded by British photojournalist Chris Schwarz and opened in 2004 in a restored former Jewish furniture factory. Its core exhibition, Traces of Memory, documents the remnants of Jewish life and heritage across the Galicia region through large-format photography. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, talks with witnesses of history, education programs, a bookshop and a kosher cafe.
