Bank of England Museum
The Bank of England Museum occupies part of the Bank's Threadneedle Street headquarters in the City of London, tracing the central bank's history since its founding in 1694. Its collection spans coins, banknotes, gold bars and paintings alongside displays on monetary policy, the Bank's architecture and the people who shaped it. Admission is free, and the museum also stages temporary exhibitions on the Bank's buildings and history.
