Polish Poster. The Collection

14. mar. – 7. jun., 2026

The Poster Museum in Wilanów is back! From Young Poland posters to modern graphic designs, the Polish poster collection comprises nearly 36,000 objects. For the first time in the history of the world's first poster museum, they will be presented as a permanent exhibition. Due to the fragile nature of paper, the exhibition will change every three months. The story, however, will remain the same. It is a story of social, cultural, and political transformations that have left their mark on posters. The exhibition will be divided into six chapters: from the Young Poland period, through artistic advertising of the interwar period, post-war propaganda, the artistic phenomenon of the Polish School of Poster, to modern graphic design. The Poster Museum returns to the map of Warsaw after several years of hiatus, during which it underwent extensive modernization. The new arrangement was designed by Syfon Studio. The exhibition will be accompanied by a richly illustrated publication prepared by Kuba Sowiński. It is a compendium of knowledge about the Polish poster and the history of the Poster Museum in Wilanów. Curatorial team: Izabela Iwanicka Dzierżawska, Mariusz Knorowski, Aleksandra Oleksiak, Bożena Pysiewicz, Michał Warda The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog available in the Museum Bookstore Co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Honorary patronage of the Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw Patrons of the National Museum in Warsaw: PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna ORLEN Media patrons: chilliZet Contemporary LYNX Szum Mint Wyborcza Onet
