Foundling Museum

The Foundling Museum tells the story of the Foundling Hospital, Britain's first home for children at risk of abandonment, founded by Thomas Coram in the 18th century. Reopened in Brunswick Square in 2004 after a major refurbishment, it holds the Foundling Hospital Collection and the Gerald Coke Handel Collection, with works tied to early patrons William Hogarth and George Frideric Handel. It stages contemporary art exhibitions and events alongside its historic collection, and is linked to the children's charity Coram.
