Majdanek State Museum

The Majdanek State Museum is a memorial museum in Lublin, Poland, established in 1944 on the grounds of the former Nazi German Majdanek concentration and extermination camp, the first museum in the world dedicated to Holocaust remembrance. It preserves original camp structures, including barracks, gas chambers and crematoria, and holds archives documenting the camp's history. It also administers memorial sites at the former camps in Belzec and Sobibor, and presents permanent and temporary exhibitions on Nazi persecution and extermination.
