100 years of Badener Strandbad: To conclude the anniversary year, the Rollettmuseum invites you to an evening full of memories, curiosities and previously unknown stories.

When the bathing season ends, a journey through time begins again at the Rollettmuseum: Under the title “Badeschluss! – Ein- und Rückblicke in 100 Jahre Badener Strandbad” (Bathing Season Ends! – Insights and Retrospectives on 100 Years of Badener Strandbad), the museum invites you to a special evening on September 30, 2026, at 7 PM on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Badener Strandbad.

A century of Strandbad – that's not just 100 years of swimming and summer feeling. It's 100 years full of stories, encounters, rules, excitements, small scandals and great memories.

Film excerpts, historical photographs, documents, newspaper articles and previously little-known documents provide insights into daily life around the Strandbad. Particularly exciting details are also provided by the entries from the report book of the city police: They tell of incidents and events that sometimes make us smile today, but which at the time certainly caused a stir.

Ordinances and regulations are also discussed and show how ideas of bathing pleasure, order and public life have changed over the past 100 years.

In addition, there are anecdotes and personal memories from contemporary witnesses that bring the historical material to life. Because behind every photo and every newspaper clipping are people and their very personal Strandbad stories.

A special guest from the Strandbad A special surprise is provided by a special guest who comes directly from the Strandbad and shares exciting stories from their experience.

This evening also marks the end of the special exhibition “100 Jahre Badener Strandbad” at the Rollettmuseum. Those who have not yet seen the exhibition or would like to delve once again into the history of the traditional bath thus have the opportunity to embark on a very special journey through time.
