About the exhibition

· Show original

The exhibition connects the museum's design sub-collection with the work of designer Michaela Doležalová, a graduate of the Glass Studio at UMPRUM in Prague. Under the Jasna label, Michaela focuses on sustainable design of interior lighting made from paper of her own production. That is precisely why one of the museum's halls is once again transformed into a workshop, this time devoted to the creation and processing of original paper.

Accompanying activities for children and adults will become an essential part of the exhibition project. They will cover not only the process of producing paper pulp and lighting fixtures, but also collecting materials together, such as local plants or waste matter like orange peel. As a result, the exhibition will become more accessible to children and young people, offering an interactive space to explore the boundaries between light and darkness, design and fine art.

The unifying theme linking the present and the past from the depository will be light, not only in its natural laws and seasonal changes, but also as an everyday part of life through lamps, luminaires and a wide variety of light objects. Another important component of the exhibition will be the process of recycling and the possibility of an unusual exploration of the immediate surroundings.
