Messenger of Beauty

Permanent

The exhibition entrance is immediately marked by a geometric intervention by the Italian-Austrian artist Esther Stocker. The exhibition also features contemporary artists who draw inspiration from Josef Hoffmann's work, such as planters and fruit baskets by African designer Heath Nash and the Kubus armchair by Jan Plecháč.

The exhibition displays original Hoffmann objects and models of his significant buildings. Three new ones have been added: Sanatorium Purkersdorf, Cabaret Fledermaus, and Stoclet Palace. The exhibited items are an organic part of the interior, which captivates with its original painting. Hoffmann designed this during the renovation of his birthplace into a summer family residence. New playground elements by Herrmann & Coufal can be seen in the garden.

Exhibiting contemporary artists: Ondřej Čižmář, Klaudia Ďugelová, Bianka Sandra Fúkáriová, Pavlína Štěpařová, Caroline Mann, Heath Nash, Jan Plecháč, Jakub Polanka, Claesson Koivisto Rune, Valentina Lara Stickler, Esther Stocker, Petr Vykoukal
