federico fusj | olam, you who ride on white donkeys

Olam, you who ride on white donkeys is a site-specific exhibition created in dialogue with the unique minimalist space of Wortner House in České Budějovice.

Italian artist Federico Fusj starts from the purely white gallery space, which also intertwines with a room with original colonnades, and enters into a dialogue through small sculptural forms and a sound installation. The exhibition thus sensitively develops the relationship between space, material, and viewer, and also opens up the question of intervention in a house as a place of intimate experience.

As the author himself suggests, he perceives a house not only as architecture but as a space into which we enter with awareness of its fragility and inner dimension. Small sculptures, which are not fragments but autonomous and complete wholes, build on the specific character of the place and strive to restore the space and its intimacy. The project thus grows out of place and time and reinterprets them through motifs of breath, passage, and silent touch.
