Church Art Treasures

The newly designed permanent exhibition showcases the museum's treasures. Particularly outstanding artworks of Styrian church art from the Romanesque period to the present day are on display. Among others, panel paintings, paintings, sculptures, and goldsmith works are grouped into thematic display areas. Highlights include the Gothic Madonna from Perchau, the Romanesque crucifix from Pürgg, relief panels by Philipp Jakob Straub, a rare depiction of Saint Wilgefortis, or the Gothic ciborium from St. Oswald.
