Together with the Körber-Stiftung, the Haus der Photographie at the Deichtorhallen Hamburg has launched an internationally oriented support and exhibition program for new positions in young contemporary photography in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The annual theme for the first edition is “Tomorrow’s Ghosts – (Temporal) Spirits of the Photographic.”
The group exhibition presents the projects of the award winners of the first year, who, from very different artistic perspectives, examine forms and practices of the ghostly as aesthetic, medial, and political strategies of the present. “Expanded Horizons” offers a unique opportunity to discover emerging talents and the latest trends in photography and to engage personally with the young artists.
