Polish Aviation Museum
The Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków is one of the world's largest aviation museums, built on the site of the former Kraków-Rakowice-Czyżyny airfield, established by Austria-Hungary in 1912 and among the oldest airfields in the world. The museum was founded in 1964, after the airfield closed in 1963, and moved into a new main building in 2010. Its collection holds more than 250 aircraft, gliders and helicopters and over 140 aircraft engines, alongside uniforms, instruments and other aviation memorabilia.
