Filip Černý – OFFLINE_CUT

OFFLINE_CUT is an exhibition addressing the question of finding a painterly path, discussing the need to return to the physical essence of the image. In a time when the visual world is increasingly dissolving into digital space, generated sketches, and the seductive smoothness of screens, Filip Černý chooses an opposing stance: back to matter, to the cut, to the tension created by the resistance of unyielding material, to craftsmanship and direct physical contact. The exhibition's title, a term referring to a rough film cut without effects, refers not only to film jargon but also to a radical gesture – to interrupting the endless virtual illusion, to the moment when the image simultaneously becomes an imaginative and tangible reality, here and now.
