Filip Černý – OFFLINE_CUT

OFFLINE_CUT is an exhibition that explores the search for a painterly path, addressing the need to return to the physical essence of the image. At a time when the visual world is increasingly dissolving into digital space, generated sketches, and the seductive smoothness of screens, Filip Černý chooses an opposing stance: back to matter, to the cut, to the tension created by the resistance of unyielding material, to craftsmanship and direct physical contact. The exhibition title, a term referring to a rough film cut without effects, alludes not only to film jargon but also to a radical gesture – to the interruption of endless virtual illusion, to the moment when an image simultaneously becomes an imaginative and tangible reality, here and now.
