Ludmila Šikolová – with/Lída

Lída Šikolová’s intimate relationship with jewellery work mirrors her roots – she comes from a typical Czech-German family from the North Bohemian Sudetenland, in which talent and love for glass and jewellery making were passed down. Her artistic work combines artisanal perfection with a feel for material, with openness and an unorthodox approach to everything that can be imagined under the designation of jewellery. Invention, technical experience, curiosity, and the ability to play and experiment form the basic prerequisites of her multifaceted, materially and technologically diverse work.
