The exhibition is conceived as a map of relationships, places, and events that shaped the work of three Czech artists in exile – Milan Mölzer, František Kyncl, and Jiří Hilmar – after 1968. The curatorial concept is based on the principle of a “network”: it traces the nodal points of their activity in West Germany, their joint exhibitions, contacts with gallery owners, theorists, and the institutional environment, and brings their work into dialogue with the most influential currents centered around Düsseldorf, including the ZERO group.
