Freud Museum London
The Freud Museum London occupies the house where Sigmund Freud, founder of psychoanalysis, settled in 1938 after fleeing Nazi-annexed Austria, and where his daughter Anna Freud, a pioneering child psychoanalyst, lived until her death in 1982. Opened to the public in 1986, it preserves Freud's study and his original psychoanalytic couch alongside around 2,500 antiquities from his personal collection, and hosts contemporary art exhibitions, talks and conferences exploring psychoanalysis.
