Garden Museum

The Garden Museum occupies the former Church of St Mary-at-Lambeth, founded in 1977 by Rosemary and John Nicholson to save the deconsecrated building from demolition. It is Britain's only museum dedicated to the art, history and design of gardens, and holds the tomb of 17th-century plant hunters John Tradescant the Elder and Younger. Its collection spans garden tools, art and design archives, alongside a programme of changing exhibitions on plants and gardens.
