RAF Museum London
The Royal Air Force Museum London sits on the former Hendon Aerodrome in north London and opened in 1972 as part of the RAF's fiftieth-anniversary legacy. Spread across six hangars, it displays historic aircraft and tells the story of the RAF's people and technology from the First World War to the present day. The museum holds a collection of around 1.3 million objects in trust for the nation and operates as a registered charity under Royal Charter.
