Somerset House
Somerset House is a neoclassical building complex on the Strand in central London, designed by Sir William Chambers and built from 1776 on the site of a former Tudor palace, with Victorian-era wings added in the 19th century. Run today by an independent charitable trust, it has been redeveloped into a cultural centre housing artist studios and creative businesses, hosting a year-round programme of exhibitions, performances, and public events. It is also home to the Courtauld Gallery's art collection.
