The Fan Museum
The Fan Museum opened in 1991 as the world's first museum dedicated to hand fans, founded by collector Hélène Alexander. It occupies two Grade II*-listed Georgian houses built in 1721 in Greenwich, London, together with an orangery and a Japanese-style garden. The museum holds the Hélène Alexander Collection and a wider research collection of fans from around the world, and presents changing temporary exhibitions on fan-related themes.
