Museum of Prague
The City of Prague Museum is a major cultural heritage institution founded in 1881, dedicated to preserving the material and intangible heritage of the Czech capital. As a municipal organization, it documents Prague's architectural, social, and cultural development from prehistory to the present day. It manages an extensive collection of hundreds of thousands of items—ranging from archaeological finds and guild relics to decorative arts and historical photographs. Beyond the iconic paper Langweil Model of Prague, the museum administers several significant architectural landmarks across the city, including the Müller and Rothmayer Villas, the Ctěnice Chateau complex, and various historic Prague towers.
