Jaroslav Ježek Memorial

The room housing the Memorial is part of a private apartment in its original state from the early 1930s.

The functionalist-style interior furnishings were designed at the composer's request by his friend, architect František Zelenka, who also created stage designs for the Osvobozené divadlo. The Blue Room, as well as a complete collection of documents of Ježek's creative legacy, was preserved thanks to the care of the composer's mother, Františka Ježková, and sister, Jarmila Strnadová. Among other things, Ježek's original piano, library, and record collection are on display here. The exhibition is professionally managed by the Music History Department of the National Museum – Czech Museum of Music.
