Jewish Museum Vienna
The Jewish Museum Vienna, run as Jüdisches Museum der Stadt Wien GmbH, is Austria's museum of Jewish history, culture and religion. It works from two houses in the city centre: the Palais Eskeles in Dorotheergasse and the Misrachi House on Judenplatz, where the excavated remains of the medieval synagogue are on show. Alongside its permanent displays on Jewish Vienna from the Middle Ages to the present, it runs a changing programme of temporary exhibitions and events on Jewish life past and present.
