The Poster Museum in Wilanów is back! From Young Poland posters to modern graphic designs – the collection of Polish posters includes nearly 36,000 objects. For the first time in the history of the world's first poster museum, they will be presented as part of a permanent exhibition.
Due to the fragile nature of paper, the exhibition will change every three months. The story, however, will remain the same. It is a story of social, cultural, and political changes that have left their mark on posters.
The exhibition will be divided into six chapters: from the Young Poland era, through artistic advertising of the interwar period, post-war propaganda, the artistic phenomenon of the Polish poster school, to modern graphic design.
The Poster Museum returns to the map of Warsaw after a several-year hiatus, during which it underwent extensive modernization. The new arrangement was designed by Syfon Studio.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a richly illustrated publication prepared by Kuba Sowiński. It is a compendium of knowledge about Polish posters and the history of the Poster Museum in Wilanów.
