Museum of Richmond

The Museum of Richmond is an independent museum and registered charity in Richmond's historic Old Town Hall, formally opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1988. Its permanent displays trace the history of Richmond, Kew, Petersham and Ham from medieval times to the present day, alongside a changing programme of temporary exhibitions, talks and family events. Highlights of the collection include 16th-century glass from Richmond Palace and a model of the former royal palace.
