Jewish Museum in Prague

The Jewish Museum in Prague, founded in 1906, is one of the oldest Jewish museums in Europe and holds one of the world's largest Judaica collections: about 40,000 objects, 100,000 books and the archives of Bohemian and Moravian Jewish communities. Since 1994 it has been a non-state non-profit body run by the Federation of Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic. Its sites in Prague's Josefov include the Maisel, Pinkas, Klausen and Spanish synagogues, the Old Jewish Cemetery and the Robert Guttmann Gallery.
