Orange the Stuben
À propos de l’exposition
Through several interventions in two historic parlours (Stuben) of the permanent exhibition, the global UN campaign “Orange the World” draws attention to violence in the domestic sphere. Subtle gestures alienate the cozy atmosphere of the parlours. “Orange the Stuben” can be seen until 10.12.2026, the same period in which the associated UN campaign runs. Conferences and discussions take place as part of the project.
In the summer semester 2026, ten students of the Bachelor's and Master's programme in European Ethnology/Empirical Cultural Studies (University of Innsbruck) developed, as part of the course “Memory, Remembrance and Narrative: ‘Orange the Stuben’ – Exhibition Design in the Field of Museums”, led by Nadja Neuner-Schatz, several objects, various texts and diverse accompanying material for a student intervention in the permanent exhibition of the Tiroler Volkskunstmuseum. The two historic parlours Ladis and Fiss are the stage for this intervention.
