Ludmila Šikolová – with Lída

The exhibition s/Lídou at GASK presents the work of Lída Šikolová, one of the distinctive figures of contemporary Czech jewellery. Her practice brings together precise craftsmanship, a feeling for material and a willingness to experiment and cross the traditional boundaries of the discipline. Alongside precious metals, she works with paper, translucent mica and butterfly wings. She finds inspiration in everyday life, fleeting moments, and the history and traditions of the North Bohemian region, with which her life and work are firmly bound.
