Stirling Prize at 30
À propos de l’exposition
What makes a building great?
From public landmarks and cultural institutions to pioneering housing and places of learning, Stirling Prize at 30 brings together some of the most remarkable buildings of the past three decades. Featuring projects such as Norman Foster's 30 St Mary Axe (the Gherkin), Zaha Hadid's MAXXI, Liverpool Everyman Theatre and Hastings Pier, the exhibition explores how the Stirling Prize has celebrated architecture in all its forms.
Established by RIBA in 1996 and named after architect James Stirling, the Prize recognises the building judged to have made the greatest contribution to architecture each year.
Bringing together past winners, shortlisted projects and the latest Stirling Prize-winning building, the exhibition explores how our expectations of architecture have changed over time, and what great buildings can bring to people's lives.
