Sir John Soane: The Poetry of Architecture
À propos de l’exposition
In 2027, a landmark collaboration between Sir John Soane’s Museum and Yale School of Architecture will bring Sir John Soane: The Poetry of Architecture to the United States - the first monographic exhibition devoted to the visionary British architect Sir John Soane ever presented in the US.
Held at the Yale Art and Architecture Building in New Haven, Connecticut, the exhibition brings together some of the most beautiful drawings of Soane’s architectural innovations, alongside works by key influences including Giovanni Battista Piranesi, William Chambers and George Dance. Two- and three-dimensional facsimiles, together with a series of works by recent and contemporary architects, will further illuminate Soane’s ideas and enduring influence, offering an unprecedented introduction to one of Britain’s most imaginative and influential architects beyond the walls of his celebrated Museum in London.
This exhibition has been generously supported by the Bergstrom Family Foundation.
