Charles Dickens Museum
The Charles Dickens Museum occupies 48 Doughty Street in Bloomsbury, London, the Georgian terraced house where Charles Dickens lived from 1837 to 1839 and wrote Oliver Twist and Nicholas Nickleby. The Dickens Fellowship bought the house in 1923 and opened it to the public in 1925, and it is now set up as the writer's Victorian home, displaying furniture, manuscripts and objects connected to his life and works.
