Kokoschka-Haus
Kokoschka-Haus in Pöchlarn is the birthplace of painter, printmaker and playwright Oskar Kokoschka. Under Oskar and Olda Kokoschka's patronage, the Oskar Kokoschka Documentation Centre was founded here in 1973; the town of Pöchlarn later bought and expanded the building into today's museum, opened in 2002. It holds Kokoschka's prints, photographs, correspondence and archives, shows a permanent exhibition on his life and work, and stages an annual special exhibition with Vienna's University of Applied Arts.
