The King's Gallery, Buckingham Palace
The King's Gallery is Buckingham Palace's public exhibition space, built on the site of a conservatory designed by John Nash that was later a private chapel and was ruined by bombing in the Second World War. The gallery opened here in 1962 at the suggestion of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, was substantially expanded in 2002 for the Golden Jubilee, and was renamed from The Queen's Gallery after King Charles III's accession in 2024. It presents changing exhibitions drawn from the Royal Collection, one of the world's largest and most important art collections.
