Museum of Warsaw

Museum of Warsaw is a city history museum occupying eleven historic tenement houses on the Old Town Market Place, rebuilt after their near-total destruction in the Second World War. Founded in 1936 as the Museum of Old Warsaw and known as the Historical Museum of Warsaw from 1948 to 2014, it holds over 250,000 objects tracing the city's past. Its permanent exhibition, The Things of Warsaw, tells that history through everyday objects, complemented by a changing programme of temporary exhibitions.
