Museum of Natural History, University of Wrocław

The Museum of Natural History at the University of Wrocław was founded in 1814 by Johann Ludwig Christian Gravenhorst, growing out of the university's early zoological, botanical and herbarium collections. It today holds around 2.5 million zoological and 0.5 million botanical specimens, of which roughly 3,700 are on permanent display across its exhibitions on the animal and plant kingdoms, vertebrate skeletal anatomy, and insects.
