The exhibition connects the museum's design sub-collection with the work of designer Michaela Doležalová, a graduate of the Glass Studio at UMPRUM in Prague. Under the brand Jasna, Michaela focuses on sustainable interior lighting design, which she creates from her own production of paper. And that is why one of the museum's halls will once again be transformed into a workshop, this time focused on the creation and processing of original paper.
Accompanying activities for children and adults will become an essential part of the exhibition project. They will include not only the process of making paper pulp and lighting fixtures, but also the joint collection of raw materials (local plants or waste material such as orange peels). Thanks to this, the exhibition will become more accessible to children and young people, offering an interactive space to explore the boundaries between light and darkness, design and fine art.
The unifying motif of present and past from the depository will be light – not only in its natural laws and annual changes, but also as an everyday part of life through lamps, luminaires, and various light objects. An important component of the exhibition will also be the recycling process and the possibility of an unusual exploration of the immediate surroundings.
