Diecézní muzeum Petrov

The Diecézní muzeum Petrov is the museum of the Brno bishopric, founded in 1993 as the first institution of its kind in the Czech Republic after 1989. It stands on Petrov hill next to the Cathedral of St Peter and Paul and collects and shows sacred art, liturgical objects and literature from the Brno diocese. Its permanent exhibition Vita Christi presents more than forty paintings, sculptures and liturgical items from the 13th to the 19th century, among them the Madonna of Veveří.
