The presentation of Tomáš Rossí's paintings in the Löw-Beer Villa can be understood as a subtle confrontation of the historical environment of bourgeois solidity and constancy with the unpredictable and creative energy of living nature and contemporary painting. The author does not seek his themes through a complicated path; he simply starts from a visual experience and focuses his attention on an interesting detail, be it a shape, color, or light sensation. In his recent paintings, various shapes from the plant kingdom appear most frequently. He does not attempt to realistically describe natural elements, but rather relies primarily on his subjective impression and intuitive ability to capture and evoke natural forms. Color, spontaneous brushwork, and lighting effects, which give the forms irresistible energy, play the most important role in this.
