Open Call: Reflection in Motion

The Regional Innovation Centre of the Karlovy Vary Region in cooperation with the Karlovy Vary Art Gallery, WESTART, Hotel Thermal and Streetfoodfestival announces the open call Reflection in Motion. Karlovy Vary is a city of promenades, where movement between colonnades, springs, glass, water and hotels creates a unique visual experience. We want to transfer it into the gallery space through contemporary art and your personal views on the theme of reflection, shadow, glow, mirroring and the rhythm of the city. We invite artists from the Karlovy Vary Region regardless of age or length of practice, whether you are established names, recent graduates, art students or create in your free time. Do you work with photography, video, installation, object, performance, sound, painting, drawing, graphics or a combination of media? Apply. The Hotel Thermal space does not offer panels or the possibility of hanging works, so you will realize the installation completely by yourselves, even in larger dimensions. Unfortunately, we do not cover transport or installation costs, but the reward is presentation in the prestigious space of the Karlovy Vary city center during the Vary°Září festival.
