Architecture Engraved in Glass

The exhibition will present engraved glass by students and teachers from the engraving departments of SUPŠS Kamenický Šenov and SUPŠS Železný Brod.

ARCHITECTURE AS A THEME

The exhibitors will find inspiration for their work in the architecture of the Liberec region. The exhibition will therefore feature objects inspired not only by architecture itself, but also by artifacts and phenomena somehow related to architecture.

UNIQUE GLASSMAKING SCHOOLS, UNIQUE TECHNIQUE

The Liberec region is home to the most significant building of our country's century. It also houses two glassmaking schools that are the last in the world to teach the technique of glass engraving as the main focus of their students' four-year studies. These two circumstances should inspire the exhibitors to create extraordinary works, connected with our region not only by the common theme of architecture, but also by the technique of glass engraving, which made our region famous and is still at home here.
