Out of the ten years of the Václav Burian Award, the fifth, "COVID" year, made the biggest impression on photographer Petr Palarčík. The exceptional situation at the time required an unconventional solution: everything took place online, streamed on the internet, with viewers and listeners meeting poets only on laptop and phone screens. The broadcast was from the Burian family's apartment, whose "genius loci" significantly contributed to the unique atmosphere of the competition. Photographs from this year will be exhibited in the CENTRAL's foyer.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, before this year's Václav Burian Award.
