Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava

Basic information We are the largest art gallery in the Moravian-Silesian Region with own collections. We are constantly expanding our collections, and at present we hold 25 000 works of art. Our main building is the House of Art (Dům umění) built in 1926. It is a fine example of modern architecture and belongs to the major architectural gems of Ostrava’s. It is a listed National Heritage site. The gallery ranks among the five most important art galleries in the Czech Republic according to the quality of the collections.
