Museum Niederösterreich
Museum Niederösterreich is the state museum of Lower Austria, located in the cultural district of St. Pölten. Founded in 1902 by the Verein für Landeskunde and based at several addresses in Vienna until it moved to the new state capital in 2002, it presents history, art and nature under one roof. Its two permanent divisions, the Haus der Geschichte and the Haus für Natur, are complemented by a changing programme of special exhibitions on Austrian contemporary history and on the relationship between people, nature and climate.
