Adam Mickiewicz Museum of Literature

The Museum of Literature, named for poet Adam Mickiewicz, was founded in 1950 in a historic tenement house on Warsaw's Old Town Market Square. It holds manuscripts, personal effects and archival material connected to Mickiewicz and other major Polish writers, and includes affiliated branch museums dedicated to individual authors such as Władysław Broniewski and Maria Dąbrowska. It organizes temporary and permanent exhibitions on Polish literary history.
