Südbahnmuseum Mürzzuschlag
The Südbahnmuseum (SÜDBAHN Museum) is a railway museum in Mürzzuschlag, Styria, set in the former Austrian Federal Railways locomotive depot on the north-east side of the town's station; the site is protected as part of the station ensemble and lies in the core zone of the Semmering Railway UNESCO World Heritage area. It runs two permanent exhibitions in two historic locomotive halls: a cultural-history display on the Southern Railway from Vienna over the Semmering to Trieste in the 1919 assembly hall, and a rail-vehicle exhibition in the roundhouse of about 1870. The vehicle halls hold Austria's largest collection of draisines and motor railcars alongside historic steam and electric locomotives.
