Since 1900, Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling has been an open, juried exhibition to which anyone can apply, regardless of age, education, gender, ethnicity or background. From the beginning, KE has been the artists’ exhibition, organised and curated by artists for artists. It has served as a dynamic platform for experimental contemporary art and as a professional and social meeting place where artists can exchange ideas, methods and visions.
Artistic community has always been at the heart of KE’s identity, just as it is at Den Frie, where the exhibition has taken place since its inception.
The KE26 jury comprises four visual artists who collectively represent a broad spectrum of the Danish and international art scene: Lina Hashim, Kåre Frang, Julie Edel Hardenberg and Mie Mørkeberg.
