FAIR FOR ART Vienna

Künstlerhaus, one of Vienna's most traditional exhibition venues, is opening its doors to a contemporary art fair again for the first time in 10 years.

From 1997, the Wiener Künstlerhaus provided the platform for the Vienna International Art Fair for two decades. As part of the extensive renovation by Hans Peter Haselsteiner and the reorientation of the Künstlerhaus, the event was moved to the Aula der Wissenschaften in 2016. In 2026, FAIR FOR ART will return to its original location as a renowned Viennese art fair with a high-quality contemporary program for international and local collectors.

This year, FAIR FOR ART Vienna remains true to its successful aspiration to present contemporary art at a first-class level. Internationally outstanding artists' names are synonymous with the high quality and diversity of the fair's program. The participating art experts provide well-founded expertise on current developments in contemporary art. They offer the highlights of their portfolio – cutting-edge works by internationally recognized and promising younger artists who are in the focus of collectors. International greats such as Helmut Ditsch, Alex Katz, and Andy Warhol meet art icons from Austria, such as Gottfried Helnwein, Wolfgang Hollegha, Hermann Nitsch, Hubert Scheibl, and Erwin Wurm. The exhibition will feature around 800 paintings and sculptures by more than 250 artists, illuminating diverse artistic positions and captivating themes. Among them are many never-before-shown major works by important Austrian artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
